Christian Parenting-101

Though the storms of life rage around you, seek shelter in the loving, merciful hands of the Lord Jesus. He will bring you through the storms dry and well nourished. Lord I give it all to You, take the storms that rage and turn them into BLESSINGS & PRAISE: We give YOU all the honor and glory AMEN!

In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance, having been destined according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to his counsel and will, so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might live for the praise of his glory. (Ephesians 1.11-12 NRSV)

Lord, help me to be ready for the day when my children leave home. I know they will not be at home with me forever, but while I have them, show me Your will for each of them so that I can prepare each one as best I can. Give me the strength to see this work to its end successfully.

"...My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me!"

God, You are so good to me. You have given me a task that is far greater than my own abilities. You have allowed me to thrive in spite of my inadequacies. You have touched our family in a special way by showing me that it is YOU who has the power to make this work. It is not me. I am just the instrument You are using to educate my children. Thank You for doing such a great job and letting me witness the blessings!

Keys for a wise life

Good theology should always exercise a healthy influence over our lives. Knowing the Word of GOD, but not knowing how to apply it, is inadequate and useless. The Book of Joshua helps us to apply what we know of the Word of GOD.

Most of us do a good job of thanking God for our material and relational blessings, but sometimes we forget to thank God for His greatest gift to us: forgiveness! Take some time today to thank God for your salvation, every other blessing we’ve been given pales in comparison.

You know we are "1" in Christ, we may not all know each other personally right now, but someday when we are all in Heaven, we will all be united and will be having the party of a lifetime. It will be a time like no other. God Bless You ALL!

for You are who You are
